Has anyone gotten the planb.lzh demo to run? I live in the UK, and since all the BBS's which tend to GUS files are in the USA and Canada, I find getting hold of the latest GUS software a tad difficult. I don't have Internet FTP access, so the UltraSound FAQ's recommended that I use the GUS mail server at mail-server@nike.pz.uni-konstanz.de or using the UltraSound request server at ultrasound-request@dsd.es.com to get hold of files. My question is how do I request files from these addresses and how can files be transferred through EMAIL so I can recieve them and use them on my computer? If you could answer this question, I thank you in advance. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert Aswani EMAIL : Aswani@Sound.Demon.Co.UK ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Aug 93 11:42:00 +0000 From: FINK_MARTIN/HP2000_13@idacom.hp.com Subject: No Stereo-in In WINDOWS Message-ID: >From: deraud@power.amasd.anatcp.rockwell.com (Robert Lee DeRaud) >Subject: Stereo? Somebody saved a couple pennies >per unit...which I then spent for duct tape! >Sometimes the obvious thing isn't... In order for me to buy off on a hardware problem, I'd have to have the same problem in DOS and windows. The GUS records in stereo just fine using 'playfile' under DOS. Some say that the Goldwave recorder will record in stereo under WINDOWS provided that the recording frequency is properly set to 44100 or 22050. I wonder if Goldwave uses the WINDOWS driver, or if goes directly to the card? I am going to try and get a copy of the recorder, but this still does not explain why the WINDOWS driver reports no stereo-in capabilities.......'john.smith@gravis.com'.... your turn to comment.
