I have heard it and sb comp. very good. It has also digpak/midpak-driver already. Alright i know that there isn't any software yet for the card, but who cares ..... The first buyers of a gus (with 1.20 disk) like me, didn't have much software either (more than sonic although). I just want to say that. Message-ID: <199308280806.AA14780@halcyon.com> Just wondering if anyone's been able to configure a GUS and the ProAudio Spectrum 16 to work together.. since the PAS has both a mono SB and the 16-bit PAS part, you need an extra interrupt. On most systems, this leaves you just enough interrupts to work out -- given you double-up over printer IRQs. So, on my system that would be IRQ 5,7, and 10. The GUS can e configured to IRQ 10 no prob, so I figure 5/7 for the PAS-16 would be a-ok. But what about any MIDI stuff? ... I'm only thinking of getting a PAS16 because a friend wants to sell it cheap and I wanted to have "full compatibility".. or in other words get the best of all three cards on the market :) --> Scott ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 28 Aug 93 9:26:42 CDT From: Jonathan Paul Quick Subject: SBOS -x3 parameter Message-ID: <9308281426.AA12293@tamsun.tamu.edu> I have a 486/66 DX2 motherboard featuring the HiNT chipset and for the most part my Ultrasound seems to be functioning properly. However, when I attempt to use SBOS with the -x3 parameter I'm given at most one DOS prompt before my entire system locks up. Other SBOS parameters do NOT have this effect. Is there a bug in the latest version of SBOS or is the problem I've described some sort of hardware incompatibility between the Ultrasound and my motherboard? jpq0042@tamsun.tamu.edu ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 28 Aug 93 17:24:39 +0200 From: d91-sme@nada.kth.se Subject: ULTRA.EXE Message-ID: <9308281524.AA29605@dront.nada.kth.se> If you don't like to wait for the scrolling screen when you run ULTRA.EXE (the 32-channel tracker v1.30) you can edit some bytes in the file with a binary file editor. Message-ID: <9308290208.AA13702@orca.es.com> Sorry it took so long for me to respond, but here it is: Dave Debry asked what was wrong with WinMod Pro, and why he wasn't getting stereo output. The answer is simple, the GUS drivers for Windows will only do stereo at 22050Hz and 44100Hz, nothing more, nothing less. Set the mixing rate for WinMod Pro to one of these two rates, and it'll work just fine....a bit slow, but this is windows for cryin out loud. :-) Matthew E.
